FAQs

  • What can I submit to LSSC24?
    Oral presentations

Students can present their project or research in a 10-minute presentation, using slides if you wish (PowerPoint, PDF, Prezi etc), which will then be followed by 10 minutes for questions and discussion.

    Videos, performances and art installations

We also encourage students whose project or research takes the form of a video, music, dance or spoken word performance, art installation or practical demonstration. Please let us know if you have any specific requirements for this.

    Poster exhibition

If you decide to submit a poster it will be displayed throughout the day at the Conference and at the networking event. Posters are a great way to present your research or project in an attractive and easy-to-read format.

Your poster should be A1 size (either landscape or portrait) and contain a mixture of text, images and graphics. Templates are available here for landscape and portrait posters.

You can decide on the layout, but it must be clear and logical so that the reader’s eye naturally follows the flow of text. Our poster checklist tells you all you need to know about creating a poster.

  • When do I need to submit my application?

The deadline for application submissions has now been extended until Sunday, 26th November 2023.

  • How do I fill out the application form?

You can access the application guidelines before completing the form.

If you have any queries about the application process, please email Stephanie, your Deputy President (Finance & Services) at dpfs@imperial.ac.uk.
