The Union has identified an issue with the early ending of the voting window for CSP Committee Elections that took place during the Autumn Election 2021.
The CSP Committee election was advertised with voting to close at 2pm (GMT) 21 October 2021. It was discovered that due to a administrative error with this election that CSP Committee election voting closed at 12pm (GMT) 21 October 2021.
The issue has been reviewed by the Returning Officer (RO) for the election. It is the RO’s judgement that students will have been unable to vote and unfairly disenfranchised from the CSP Committee election due to the shortening of the voting window.
The RO decision is to reopen voting for a 2 hour period on Monday 25 October 2021. As a result, campaigning for the CSP Committee election can continue from 5pm Friday 22 October 2021.
The updated timetable for the CSP election can be found below.
