Computational Biology

Category: Academic
Computational Biology is a student-led society for those interested in the intersection between technology and biology. It is one of the first of its kind in the UK for an industry that is set to grow to billions of dollars. This society is for life and computer scientists alike to gain knowledge, that might be currently missing in their undergraduate studies, that they'll need to start a career in CompBio. We host regular seminars with top industry and academic figures to open your eyes to how CompBio is revolutionizing the life sciences. On top of that, we host coding classes tailored to the intricacies of working with biological data as well as workshops to use other tools in computational biology. Finally, every year we host a summer conference with several speakers from the industry. For the first time, we will be hosting it in person and it will be a great opportunity for networking. Can't miss it!
