Category: ICSM

ICSM Vision is an outreach society run by medical students at Imperial supporting aspiring medics through conferences, programmes, and sessions, widening access to Medicine.

Visit our website for more information on our conferences and programmes.

Conferences

We run 3 large conferences every year, consisting of inspirational talks, tutorials, and practical workshops delivered by practising doctors and medical student volunteers:

  • UCAT Day, aimed at Year 13 students, helps medical school applicants be well-prepared for their upcoming medical school entrance exam.
  • Mastering Your Medical Application (MMA) Day (Senior Conference), aimed at students in the current university application cycle, provides the opportunity to practise and receive personalised advice for their medical school interviews.
  • Junior Conference, aimed at students in Years 10-12 who are considering a career in Medicine, gives students an insight into life in Medicine through tutorials and practical workshops.

Programmes and sessions

Throughout the year, we run programmes for local schools:

  • Roadshow, aimed for Year 9-13 students, is where we visit local schools and deliver talks on university life, work experience, interviews, and top tips during school years to inspire the next generation of medical students.
  • Dr Me Project, aimed at students aged 9-11, is a health promotion and widening participation project which visits local primary schools to teach about common self-limiting illnesses and how to manage them.

We also run other sessions, such as interview mocks, in collaboration with charities and Faculty-ran outreach programmes.
