Imperial College School of Medicine Football Club is the largest club in the medical school with four teams playing twice a week throughout the season, as well as a 5-a-side team. There is a team to suit everyone with a strong competitive first XI (which finished 2nd out of all London Universities last season) or there is the more relaxed fourth XI, which emphasises enjoyment and participation, coupled with attaining good results. Last season ICSM FC competed in BUCS and LUSL leagues and won 3 out of 4 Varsity matches against IC FC. We also represent Imperial in the National Association of Medical Schools (NAMS) tournament and the United Hospitals Cup, the second oldest association football tournament in Britain after the FA Cup. The social side of the club is second to none, meeting every Wednesday for Sports Night in the infamous Reynolds bar. The annual Christmas Dinner and Ultimate Wednesday are highlights in the calendar, and we host various socials with the ladies of the ICSM Netball Club and Women's Football. We have two tours a year, a domestic mid-season tour with the netball girls, and the international preseason football tour with past destinations including Brno, Budapest and Gdansk. ICSM FC also offers the St Mary's Hospital Football Scholarship to anyone in their first year with the club, worth £250. So, whatever your ability - Medic or not - you'll be more than welcome at ICSM FC. Check out our instagram for more information: @icsmfc
