Bio Engineering

Category: Departmental
Bioengineering Society is a student-run group open to all those studying in the department - and whoever else wants to join! We host numerous events throughout the year, including social, wellbeing, industrial, and academic focused events. Some examples include pub crawls, Christmas meals, Therapy Dog Sessions, arts and crafts, HealthHack, and Quiz nights. These provide an atmosphere where you can meet students from other years and get involved within the department in a fun environment. Other events such as Careers Fairs and panels mean you can have an intimate opportunity to meet with potential future employers, and possibly obtain jobs or internship offers for those companies particularly seeking bioengineering students. Internship 101, Year in Industry and UROP 101 talks give insight on how other students have gotten great opportunities in the past. There are also plenty of other ways to get involved with the society, including organised day trips out, and sports tournaments. We aim to provide a friendly place for students to chill as well as well-deserved opportunities for hardworking bioengineers to take a break from their books.
