We mark International Women’s Day at ICU through the Gender Equality Network. The elected students work to promote gender equality and empower women both within the College and in the wider community.
As we approach International Women's Day, they will be hosting a fundraising event to support the Girls Friendly Society, a charity that empowers and supports girls and young women in the UK. They are also launching different proposals to improve the learning environment in the Central Library!
International Women's Day is important because it provides a valuable opportunity to celebrate the progress we've made towards gender equality, as well as recognize the work that still needs to be done. It's a chance to come together as a community and support each other in the fight for gender equality.
The Gender Equality Network is committed to working towards a future where gender equality is a reality for everyone. By empowering women and promoting gender equality, we can create a more just and equitable society for all.
Join us in celebrating International Women's Day at Imperial College London! On March 8th from 10:00-14:00, we'll be raising funds to support the Girls Friendly Society, a charity that empowers and supports girls and young women in the UK.
Your donation will help provide resources and opportunities for girls and young women to access education, training, and mentoring, as well as emotional and practical support. Let's make a difference in the lives of countless young women and empower them to build a better future for themselves and their communities.
Join us on March 8th at the Sherfield Building and donate to our cause. Together, we can create a lasting impact on the world. Thank you for your support!
