This Saturday we’re going to be kicking off the return to our weekly skating sessions with a Hyde Park skate, so if you’re looking for an excuse to escape from revision for a little while and enjoy the great weather, this is the perfect opportunity!
We’re planning on running learn to skate sessions for any beginner skaters who would like to learn a little bit more about skating technique and things like how to brake safely, as well as skates around the park (and possibly beyond!) for more experienced skaters, so everybody is welcome no matter how much previous skating experience you have!
We’re going to be meeting at 16:00 at the Royal Albert Memorial, and we’ll probably be skating for anywhere between 1-2 hours, so if there’s any chance that 16:00 doesn’t quite work for you and you’d like to join a bit later on during the skate, or if you’d like to meet us in another part of Hyde Park, you can always message us beforehand and we can organise to meet you somewhere during the skate! (The best way to get in contact with us before/during the skate will be through WhatsApp - you can send us a message on the SkateSoc group chat or you can message Josh or me directly!)
Unfortunately we won't be able to lend out skates for this session, but we're hoping to be able to lend out more skates in the future, so let us know if you are interested in borrowing some and we would be happy to try and help 🙂
