Kia ora! I'm Jason, your Deputy President (Education) for 2022-23.
I'm responsible for leading the Academic Representation Network, working with your Year, Department, and Faculty reps, to ensure that your voices are heard.
I'm originally from New Zealand and moved here to study EIE. I have been an academic rep for two years now where I've been a massive advocate for student consultation, and I'll be continuing that this year, engaging with the College to ensure students are represented at all levels.
Outside of my degree, I've been involved with various clubs and societies - most notably the Imperial College Wind Band where I play the clarinet. I also enjoy the occasional bouldering session!
My Goals
- Work with the College to improve academic feedback
- Improve communication and transparency between staff and students
- Improve postgraduate representation and engagement with the Union
- Work with the Deputy President (Welfare) to address student wellbeing and satisfaction
