Mentality

Category: Charitable
Are you interested in bettering mental health across Imperial? Many students are affected by mental illness, experiencing it themselves or knowing someone else who is. This can be scary, isolating and confusing especially when it feels like there is nowhere to go for support. At Mentality we talk openly about mental illness and wellbeing, educating ourselves and Imperial students on this. We will be campaigning throughout the year to raise awareness, reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness and most notably, to help people seek appropriate support. Come together with students who have the common aim of ensuring that mental illness is not a barrier to an enjoyable time at university. Aims for this year: • Educate on how to recognise signs of mental illness in ourselves and among peers. • Source and engage with external campaigns to bring education about mental illness and health to Imperial students. • Signpost to resources for mental illness and wellbeing support. • As a group, provide support to students feeling isolated.
