Global Brigades

Category: Charitable
Global Brigades is the world’s largest student-led health and development movement! We currently partner with communities in Honduras, Panama, Nicaragua and Ghana, and collectively implement sustainable health, economic and education initiatives to meet a community’s development goals. Each year, more than 3,000 student volunteers and health professionals from across the world travel to Central America and Africa to carry out various projects in under-resourced communities. Imperial College currently sends out Medical, Public Health, and Water & Engineering Brigades over the summer months in which hundreds of patients are treated, in-home infrastructure is built for families, and pipeline water systems are designed and implemented. Between brigades, our in-country teams and local technicians maintain relationships with the communities to provide follow-ups. In Honduras, our Community Health Worker program empowers local leaders to perpetuate a consistent level of health care. If you’re interested in taking part in a Brigade and making a difference, join us!
